NEW ULM, Minn. – The 16th-ranked St. Scholastica baseball team extended its win streak to 10 games with a 19-1 victory over Martin Luther College this afternoon.
The Saints improve to 17-3 overall and 4-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). The Knights continue to be winless on the year with an overall record of 0-17 and 0-5 in the conference.
CSS put up a run in the top of the first with a RBI-single from #Sean Claugherty# (
Sr.-Oakdale, Minn./Tartan). The Saints then blew it open in the top of the second, by plating 11 runs on nine hits.

So.-Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley) each had a two-run singles to begin the scoring. #Paul Kolodge# (
Sr.-Cloquet, Minn.) and #Steve Gerten# (
Sr.-West St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley) followed with sacrifice flies to make it 7-0. Then after an error extended the inning, Marshik added two more RBIs with a double. Claugherty finished the scoring in the inning with a three-run home run, his second of the season, to make it 12-0.
