FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The ninth-ranked St. Scholastica baseball team won its fifth straight game with a 15-3 victory over Oswego State (N.Y.) this afternoon in Fort Pierce, Fla.

The Saints improve to 8-1 overall and 5-0 down in Florida, while the Lakers fall to 3-2 overall.

After two scoreless innings and a quick two outs in the top of the third, the Saints got a runner aboard with two outs. #Sean Claugherty# (Jr.-Oakdale, Minn./Tartan) then got the scoring started for the Saints with a RBI-triple into the gap that drove in #Kyle Wojtysiak# (Sr.-Proctor, Minn.). #Paul Kolodge# (Jr.-Cloquet, Minn.) followed with a single to plate Claugherty and make the score 2-0.

The Lakers cut that lead in half in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring single. The Lakers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to make it 12-3 and extend the game.
