DULUTH, Minn. – Division II's Michigan Tech University win all nine matches tonight to defeat the St. Scholastica men's tennis team at the Arrowhead Tennis Center.
The Saints are now 1-1 on the campaign, while Michigan Tech wins its first match of the season.
Michigan Tech took the doubles matches 8-4 at flight No. 1, 8-5 at No. 2, and 8-3 at No. 3. In singles action, the Huskies won all six matches in straight sets. #Brian Lindberg# (
Fr.-Hermantown, Minn.) almost forced a third-set super tie-breaker, but fell in a second set tiebreaker 7-2.
The Saints will be in action next Saturday when square-off with the University of St. Thomas. The dual match begins at 2 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
