ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team rallied from a 15-point second half deficit, but Crown College's Maurice Lloyd's put back in the final seconds gave the Storm a 67-65 victory.

The Saints fall to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). The Storm improve to 2-6 overall and 2-0 in the conference. This was the second consecutive night that the Storm's Maurice Lloyd gave Crown the victory in the final seconds.

Unlike last night where the Saints shot the ball very well, they would struggle from the field today. CSS did take a 12-6 lead four minutes into the game. The Storm then went on a 17-0 run to take a 23-12 lead with 10 minutes left in the half. The Saints would not make a field goal for seven minutes. Crown took a 41-28 lead into the locker room.

The Saints shot just 29-percent in the first 20 minutes, while Crown shot 56-percent. The Storm had a 10-0 advantage on second-chance points. Crown almost doubled up the Saints on the glass 27-14.

The margin got up to 15 in the first minute of the second half. The Saints then went on an 8-0 run to make it 43-36 with 18 minutes left. Later in the half, the Saints went on a 6-0 run to cut the lead to two.

Crown's lead never grew above six after that and the Saints regained the lead on a #Max Dibrell# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./East) lay-up with three minutes to go to make it 63-62. CSS then took a 65-63 lead on another Dibrell lay-up. A pair of Crown free throws tied the contest with one minute left.

After the Saints were unable to go up on top, Crown would hold for the final shot and Maurice Lloyd would get an offensive rebound and put it in before the buzzer sounded to give the Storm at 67-65 victory.

The Saints shot 46-percent in the second half to finish at 37-percent for the game. CSS was 18-for-20 from the free throw line. The Storm shot 51-percent for the game and out-rebounded the Saints 43-26. Crown committed 30 turnovers, which led to 30 CSS points.

#Jonah Dahlman# (Fr.-Braham, Minn.) had a career-high 17 points to lead the Saints. Dahlman also had a team-high seven rebounds. Max Dibrell (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) added a career-high 15 points and #Danny Schmitz# (Jr.-Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) had 10 points. Mike Landers had 17 points to lead Crown.
