The Wildcats started off the first game in the top of the second inning with a single to center field, sending a runner home to claim an early 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Saints stepped up to the plate. Emma Bolin (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Millennium HS) recorded the first run for the Saints after Katelyn Hackman (Oakdale, MN/Tartan High School) sent a sacrifice fly to right field, equalizing the game 1-1.

The next play, Lauren Laviano (Maplewood, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) stole second which allowed Jadyn Lind (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) to score the second for the Saints on the throw, claiming a 2-1 lead.

Hackman would wrap up this game in the bottom of the fifth inning, advancing home on a fielder's choice after a ground out to the shortstop. The final score of the first game was 3-1 in favor of the Saints.

Game Two: CSS 3, St. Catherine's University 2

After a slow start to the second game, the Wildcats started on the front foot once again, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the third following a single hit.

It wasn't until the top of the sixth inning when the Wildcats would strike again, scoring on the throw for a 2-0 lead.

The Saints needed something to sweep the Wildcats, and it came to them in the seventh and final inning.

Victoria Nelson (Lake Elmo, Minn./Mahtomedi High School) registered the first run for the Saints after Payton Lang (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) hit a sacrifice fly to right field, cutting the deficit to 2-1.

Shortly after, the Wildcats started to feel the pressure. Anna Potratz crossed home plate off a wild pitch, deadlocking the game 2-2.
