It was a great weekend to be a Saint at the MIAC Indoor Track Conference Championships, and numerous athletes earned MIAC All-Conference honors. Leading the way was Trent Beseth (Stanchfield, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) who picked conference championships and all-conference berths in the shot put (17.48m) and the weight throw (17.81m). These performances, in combination with five MIAC Athlete of the Week performances throughout the season saw Beseth also stake his claim as the MIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.

The other conference champion for the Saints, Lars Dewall (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) won the 3,000m with a come from behind, final lap kick that saw him get the all-conference nod with a time of 8:22.86. Dewall also received an all-conference honorable mention nomination with his fourth place finish in the mile (4:15.49). 

Beseth was not the only thrower on the awards stand, with Joshua Monreal (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS) picking up all-conference honors as well with his third place finish in the weight throw (17.00m). He was also an all-conference honorable mention in the shot put with his throw of 14.83m landing him in sixth place.

Another Saint to pick up a couple awards was Noah Kubicek (Owatona, Minn./Owatonna HS), who was all-conference honorable mention in both the 400m (50.04) to finish fourth, and the 600m (1:22.52), which landed him in fifth place.

Sean Alfaro Diedrich (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) was the final Saint to come away with some hardware, as he picked up an all-conference honorable mention designation with a six place finish in the 60m with a time of 7.02.

The Saints await the NCAA national selection committee to see which of their members will get to compete at the NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships.
