Jacquez Overstreet (Appleton, Wis./Oshkosh West (Marian University)),
Koy Nelson (Port Wing, Wis./South Shore HS), and
Aaron Keykal (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) have been named Academic All-District® from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) for the first time for their contributions throughout the Saints 2024-25 campaign.
Each school can nominate a select number of student-athletes that meet the following criteria:
• at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
• at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
• compete in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or start at least 66 percent of the contests.
Keykal, the sophomore forward, started in all twenty-five of the Saints games and was a statistical leader for the team in several categories. Keykal was second in points per game for the team with 12.9 (0.1 off a tie for the team lead) and shot 64.2% from the floor. Additionally, he also led the Saints in total, offensive, and defensive rebounds, while averaging over eight boards per contest. Keykal made his presence felt on the defensive end of the court as well, finishing top three in both blocks and steals for St. Scholastica, while earning a MIAC All-Conference honorable mention nomination.
Nelson led the Saints in scoring during his junior season with 13.0 ppg. He scored a season high against Saint John's on January 18th with a 30 point onslaught. He was always a threat from deep averaging over two made three-pointers per game, and was known to get his teammates involved as well, totaling at least five assists in five games this year. Nelson additionally contributed by picking pockets on defense with 21 steals throughout the season.
Overstreet, in his second season with the Saints, found himself with an increased role, starting 20 out of 22 games played throughout the season. Overstreet was a versatile player for the Saints, putting up multiple 10/5/5 performances throughout the year and he shot a consistent 35.4% from behind the arc. He wraps up his collegiate career with his first Academic All-District award.
