Ishpeming, MI - The men's and women's Nordic Ski teams wrapped up the NCAA Central Regional Championships in Ishpeming, MI today. The teams competed in the 20 km Freestyle Mass Start to conclude their races over the weekend. Greta Leitheiser (Bend, Ore./Sun Valley Community School) had a standout performance, taking 2nd place on the podium to lead the Saints. 

Male Top Performers

Chase High (Steamboat Springs, Colo./Steamboat Springs HS) placed 5th for the Saints, wrapping up his weekend with a time of 55:28.6. Ben Boelter (Sartell, Minn./Sartell HS) followed up shortly after, as he finished in 10th place with a time of 56:53.0, and Jakob Craig (Tomahawk, WI/Lakeland Union High School) was right behind him in 11th, finishing with his time of 57:06.9. Jonny Saldin (Stillwater, Minn./Homeschool) finished in 17th, crossing the finish line with a time of 58:51.9, and Joseph Walling (Palmer, Alaska/Mat-Su Career & Technical HS) was right behind him in 18th with a time of 59:09.4. Cameron Cruickshank () finished soon after in 22nd with 59:36.0.

Other finishers for the men include Leevi Tarjanne () finishing with a time 1:00:36.5, Ivar Dragerengen (Raufoss, Norway/Lena-Valle Viderega°ende Skole) with his time of 1:03:20.7, and to wrap up the weekend for the Saints was Alexander Bertonneau (Frisco, Colo./Summit HS) finishing with a time of 1:06:04.2.

Female Top Performers

Greta Leitheiser (Bend, Ore./Sun Valley Community School) earned herself a hard-fought 2nd place finish today in the 20 km race, as she finished her weekend with a time of 58:58.9. Next in line was Charlotte (Mae) Whitcomb (Holderness, N.H./Holderness School), coming in 9th place with her time of 1:02:27.8, and Kelsey Johannes (Anchorage, Alaska/West Anchorage HS) finished up in 12th with a time of 1:03:35.6. Avery Tolbert (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago HS) was not far behind, as she finished in 14th place with her time of 1:04:38.1. Maddie Gray () wrapped up the NCAA Championships for the Saints in 18th place with a time of 1:09:04.7.
