The Saint Scholastica men's and women's nordic ski teams took on day two of the competition on Sunday, January 26. The final day of the event consisted of the Freestyle Mass Start, which had several CSS athletes finish with exceptional times.
Male Top Performers:
Freshman Jakob Craig () would lead the Saints with a time of 23:27.8 and would take 7th place. With a time of 24:59.0, Kaden Hacker (Sussex, Wis./Home School) finished in 15th place. Not far behind Hacker was Kai Donnelly (), who took 18th place and finished with a time of 25:07.1. Jack Meinert finished with a time of 25:19.7 and took 23rd. Max Rogers (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) would finish with a time of 25:58.8.
Other male athletes that finished include Sam Haynes with a time of 26:21.1, Joel Bouley (Zimmerman, Minn./Zimmerman HS) with a time 26:48.9, Cale Prosen (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) finished with a time of 28:01.6, and lastly Trygve Rux (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) wrapped up with a time of 28:09.3.
Female Top Performers:
Madeline Gray led the Saints women finishing in 15th place with a time of 29:38.1. Linnea Urban (Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) finished with a time of 30:45.5 and finished in 24th. Soon after with a time of 30:54.7 would be Victoria Myers () in 28th place, and Lily Schaeffer would be just behind her with a time of 31:06.5 taking 30th. Jazlyn Gunderson () would take 32nd with a time of 31:09.3.
Other female athletes that finished consisted of Josephine Kwasny with a time of 31:53.4 and Grace Finn who rounded the Saints off with a time of 42:04.0.
Nordic head coach Jason Kask stated: "Jakob had a good day staying with the lead pack for most of the race. Maddie also had a solid weekend with an excellent qualifier yesterday and a strong race in today's mass start."

Up Next - The men's and women's Saints Nordic ski teams will have their next competition here in Duluth on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2. They will be competing in the CCSA Invite over the weekend.
