DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team hosted the Knights from Carleton College this afternoon, on what was Senior Day for the Saints. Unfortunately, the Knights were backed up by two goals in the first half, and three more in the second half, taking a 5-0 victory over CSS today.
How it Happened
The Knights broke the 0-0 tie early in this match, scoring in the 19th minute, to take a 1-0 lead.
Just ten minutes later, Carleton added another goal to its total, extending its lead to 2-0 over CSS, heading into halftime.
The Saints offense had some early opportunities to crack the scoreboard early in the second half, but nothing came of it.
In the last 12 minutes of the match, the Knights added three goals, as Carleton walked away with a 5-0 victory over CSS this afternoon.

The Saints (2-7, 0-4) will be back in action next Wednesday, where they will travel across Lake Superior, taking on UW-Superior in a night contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
