-Oberding finishes tied for fifth place individually

HASTINGS, Minn. — The St. Scholastica women's golf team took part in the D3 Classic this weekend at Emerald Greens Golf Course today in Hastings, Minnesota. The Saints finished with an 11th place finish and had a pair of golfers finish in the top-50 individually. 

How it Happened
Carissa Oberding (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) finished tied for fifth place in the tournament this weekend. Oberding finished round one with a score of 78, and she capped off her round this afternoon with a score of 74. 

Anna Lindemann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) and Emily Nystrom (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) finished second and third for the Saints this weekend. Lindemann finished her weekend with a round one score of 92, and shot 15 shots better to shoot a career-best of 77 in the second round. 

Nystrom began the weekend with a score of 93, and shot a second round score of 85. 

Rounding out the scoring for the Saints this weekend, Molly Arf (Spooner, Wis./Spooner HS) and Maggie Lamppa (Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East HS) finished fourth and fifth for the Saints. Arf was able to shoot a 90 in round one, and a 91 in round two. Lamppa scored rounds of 91 and a 93 in today's round.
