Samantha Paniagua (Corona, Calif./Centennial HS) broke up the Oles no hitter in the sixth inning with a single up the middle. In the bottom of the seventh, the Saints had two back-to-back singles by Aislind Dail (Sumner, Wash./Sumner HS) and Emma Bolin (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Millennium HS) but couldn't string together enough to break the shut out and ended in a 2-0 loss.Â
As mentioned previously, the three hits were by Paniagua, Dail and Bolin at the plate for CSS .In the circle, Haley Rosenthal (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) pitched a complete game with two strikeouts.Â
The Saints didn't get to finish up the second game as it got called due to lightning and brought an end to the Saints' season.Â
