DULUTH, Minn. – The Saint Scholastica Women's Hockey team faced the Wildcats of the University of Saint Catherine following a win on the road last night. Tonight's game would end in the same fashion as last night, with the Saints beating the Wildcats once again, this time 4-2.

What Happened
Tonight's matchup between the Wildcats and the Saints would see great offense from the Saints. Unfortunately, the Wildcats would also push somewhat strong on offense, matching the Saints with 13 shots on goal for each team. However the Saints were able to achieve success on their offensive end with Taylor Leonard (Mound, Minn./Mound Westonka HS) scoring the teams' first goal of the game, Allie Bussey (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and Sara Parent (Otsego, Minn./Rogers HS) would get the assists on the goal. The period would come to an end with the Saints in the lead, 1-0.

The second period would see very similar action to the first period. The Saints offense would get outshot by the Wildcats, with the Wildcats getting nine shots on goal compared to the Saints offense who would only get seven shots on goal. However, that is all that was needed for the Saints' offense to extend their lead, with  Lyndi Schubert (Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) scoring the Saints second goal of the game, coming from Lauryn Hull (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly HS). The period would end with the Saints having a comfortable 2-0 lead against the Wildcats.

The Saints offense would kick it up a notch in the third period. The Saints offense would once again be outshot by the Wildcats who would get 14 shots on goal, whereas the Saints got 13 shots on goal. Abby Pohlkamp (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd HS) would be the star of the Saints in the third period. She would score two goals in the period, the first one coming in a bit after halfway through the period, and her second coming not long after. Both goals would be assisted by Lias LaRoche and Lyndi Schubert (Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS). However the Wildcats would not end the game scoreless, with their first goal being a power-play goal with six minutes left in the game. Their final goal would be scored with one second left in the game. Fortunately there was just not enough time left in the game for the Wildcats to make a comeback, and the Saints would end the game with a final score of 4-2.

Goaltending
Makenzie Cole (Cohasset, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) played all three periods for the Saints, she faced 36 shots, and registered 34 saves for the Saints.

The Wildcats would play two Goalies, they would start the game with Anna Friendshuh in the net. She would play the first two periods, facing 27 shots, and registering 24 saves

They would switch Goalies during the third period, putting Lea Grassia in. Grassia would face six shots and register five saves.

What's Next
