BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica women's hockey team earned multiple honors as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its 2025-26 postseason awards. Senior goaltender Makenzie Cole (Cohasset, MN/Grand Rapids HS) highlighted the Saints' selections after receiving the MIAC Sheila Brown Award and earning MIAC All-Conference honors.

The honor is given to a senior MIAC women's ice hockey student-athlete who has made a long-term contribution to their team's success, has excelled competitively, and has displayed good leadership and citizenship.

Cole capped her career with another standout season in goal for the Saints. The senior appeared in 23 games, posting a 9-12-2 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage, while recording 694 saves and four shutouts during the 2025-26 season.

Earlier this season, Cole also set the St. Scholastica program record for career saves, finishing her Saints career as the program's all-time saves leader.

In addition to Cole's All-Conference selection, two other Saints were recognized by the conference.

Sophomore forward Alaina Hedberg (St. Paul, MN/Tartan HS) earned MIAC Honorable Mention honors after leading St. Scholastica in scoring this season with 19 points on six goals and 13 assists in 25 games.

Junior defenseman Sophie Parendo (Proctor, MN/Proctor HS) was also named MIAC Honorable Mention, contributing from the blue line with eight points on two goals and six assists while finishing with a +3 rating over 25 games.

The trio helped anchor a Saints team that finished the 2025-26 season with an 11-12-2 overall record and a 5-9-2 mark in MIAC play.

The MIAC postseason awards are selected by the league's head coaches following the conclusion of the conference season.
