ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team faced Macalester College on Saturday afternoon, the Scots' would score three goals in this contest as the Saints wouldn't be able to find the back of the net.
How it Happened
To start, goalkeeper
Liam Lothian (Redditch, England/RSA Academy Arrow Vale) would save a shot and a penalty shot early in the first while four Saints would take shots, but all were off target. The Scots' would get on the board in the 32nd minute and would maintain the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
Macalester would add two more goals in the first seven minutes of the second half. The Saints would try to make something happen when
Keegan Chastey (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) and
Guilherme Silva (Curitiba, Brazil/Bom Jesus Divina Providência (Gardner-Webb)) both had a shot on goal, but both were saved by the Scots' keeper. As the game came to a close, Macalester would walk away with a 3-0 MIAC victory.
