DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team hosted the Pipers from Hamline this afternoon. The Saints struck first in this one, leading 1-0 at halftime. The Pipers however, scored two goals late in the second half, to hand the Saints a 2-1 loss.
How it Happened
After Hamline's offense had early momentum, Tommy Zuzek (Lakeville, Minn./Farmington HS) scored the first goal of the game, off an assist from Alexander Estrada-Cortez (Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS) and Arturo Salgado-Trejo (Richfield, Minn./Richfield HS), to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Just a little over halfway through the second half, Hamline found the back of the net, tying the game at 1-1.
10 minutes later, the Pipers cashed in on its momentum once again, scoring in the 80th minute, which would ultimately be the game-winning goal, as Hamline took today's match by a score of 2-1.

The Saints (2-10, 0-6) will be back in action on Saturday, where they will travel to take on the Cardinals from St. Mary's. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
