WINONA, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's soccer team traveled to Winona this afternoon, taking on the Cardinals from St. Mary's. The match was tight the whole way through, and it resulted in a 0-0 draw.
How it Happened
Both teams traded blows early in this one, but both teams defense's showed up to keep the score at 0-0.
Ben Hallberg (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) made the start in the net for the Saints, and he made some big saves near the end of the first half.
The Saints offense had some key opportunities, as shots by Harry Cook (Fareham, England/Henry Cort Community College), Rodrigo Gonzalez (La Libertad, El Salvador/Colegio San Francisco), and Kyle Schmidt (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) were all saved to keep the score at 0-0.
St. Mary's tried to find the back of the net late in the half, but the Saints' defense stepped up, as this match ended today with a score of 0-0 and a draw.

The Saints (2-10-1, 0-6-1) will be back at home for its next contest on Tuesday, where they will take on St. John's. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
