First Half

The Saints got a pair of three-pointers to fall courtesy of Miranda Broberg (Milaca, Minn./Milaca HS (UW-Superior)), which gave CSS its first lead of the game.

Later in the quarter, Meghan Hurley got her first points of the game, scoring on a jumper with an assist by Eve Turner (Side Lake, Minn./Hibbing HS) to give CSS a one-point lead.

Broberg and Imdieke both helped extend CSS' lead in the early minutes of the second quarter, with key rebounds by Vaskie and Hurley, made it 18-13.

CSS was able to draw many fouls in the later minutes of the second quarter, scoring its last nine points from the free throw line, taking a 32-28 lead into halftime.

Second Half
Both teams came out of the break aggressive, as CSS lead would diminish and expand after each possession. Broberg and Imdieke again both were the catylysts of the early points in the second half, cashing in with a three-pointer each.

Midway through the third quarter, Ashley Faur (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) knocked down her first three of the afternoon, as CSS reclaimed its lead.

Macalester stopped the Saints' offense over the next few minutes, that was until Liz Frase (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS (Concordia-Moorhead)) converted from beyond-the-arc, making it a 48-47 game in favor of the Scots.

Trailing by just five points heading into the fourth quarter, the Saints found itself down by double-digits in the early moments of the final quarter.
