How it Happened
Mariah Haedrich (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) got the scoring started eight minutes into the game with assists from Rachel Anderson (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and Taylor Thompson (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS). The Cobbers answered just over a minute later to tie the game at 1-1. Concordia outshot the Saints 18-6 in the opening period.

Lauryn Hull (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly HS) and Allie Bussey (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) had the assists. CSS extended its lead to 3-1 with a power-play goal from Taylor Thompson (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) with 10:20 remaining. Anderson and Kayla Kasel (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) had the assists.

Courtney Bloemke (Nicollet, Minn./Mankato West HS) added insurance two minutes later to make it 4-1 with assists from Lisa LaRoche (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and goaltender Ashlea Arvidson (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS). The Cobbers added a power-play goal moments later, but the Saints would kill-off a penalty right after that goal and take the 4-2 win.
