MOORHEAD, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team scored first, but Concordia College-Moorhead recorded the final four goals in a 4-1 setback to Cobbers Friday night in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play.

How it Happened
The Saints scored just shy of seven minutes into the contest with an Arkhip Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) goal. Griffen Sanom (Berkley, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep (Hobart)) recorded his first point as a Saint with the assist. The Cobbers tied things up at 1-1 midway through the period and then took a 2-1 lead with two minutes left in the period. CSS was limited to only four shots on goal in the first period.

It remained 2-1 when on their only power-play of the game the Cobbers scored with a minute left in the second period to make it 3-1 at the second intermission. Concordia put the game away with a goal with nine minutes left in the third period to make the final score 4-1.

Goaltending
Jack Bostedt (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig HS (Minnesota Mullets-USPHL)) had 35 saves for the Saints, while Jackson Nelson recorded 26 saves for the Cobbers.

Up Next
