Sydney Plemel (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) fell a home run shy of the hitting for the cycle in game one on Sunday and leads the UMAC with a .586 on-base percentage.

-The Yellowjackets snapped a six-game losing streak by sweeping Crown College to open league play on Sunday.
-Tiffany Kirk leads the team with a .328 batting average and has scored 13 times.
-Davriana Horvath has a team-best 12 RBIs and Ashley Taipole has the team's two home runs.
-Opponents are hitting over.300 against all three UWS pitchers that have seen action.
-Taipole leads the team with 40 strikeouts in 51.1 innings pitched.
-The Yellowjackets are picked to finish fourth in the league this season.
