csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team had its indoor opener on Saturday, hosting The Opener in the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse.
Cerar Records PR in Dubuque
Senior
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) actually began his season in Iowa on Friday night at the Battle of the Bluff Indoor Track & Field Championships in Dubuque, Iowa. After Friday's competition, Cerar had 2,485 points and was third overall. That point total was thanks to a personal-best effort in the long jump with a mark of 19'8" (5.99m). He then followed that by winning the shot put with a personal-best toss of 37'7.25" (11.46m). He finished Friday by clearing a personal-best height in the high jump at 6'2" (1.88m) and was runner-up in that event.
On Saturday, Cerar posted a personal-best mark in the pole vault, clearing 13'7.25" (4.15m) to tie for first in that event. When all seven events were completed Cerar recorded a total of 4,459 points, besting his previous PR by 149 points. It was also the second-best Heptathlon score in program history. He finished second overall in the nine competitor field.

Isaac Boedigheimer (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was runner-up in the 800m run, posting a time of 2:05.15, while junior
Cameron Pearson (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon HS) was third at 2:12.74.
Senior
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) was fourth in the mile run finishing in a time of 4:43.43. Junior
Malcolm Lumsden (Kingston, Jamaica/Kingston College (Lake Superior College)) also finished fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.13.
Senior
Donovan Blatz (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) recorded a sixth-place finish in the long jump with an indoor personal-best leap of 19'11.75" (6.09m). Junior
Nick Braun (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Lake Superior College)) was eighth with a mark of 19'7.5" (5.98m).
Sophomore
Jake Bonasera (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) was ninth in the shot put with toss of 35'0.5" (10.68m). Senior
Kyle Beck (Glencoe, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake HS) was 10
th in the 200m dash with a time of 24.12.
