Women’s Soccer Looks to Wrap up UMAC Title at Home

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team will host a pair of Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) wrapping up a five-game home stand before heading on the road for a final time.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-The Saints are coming off of back to back 1-0 victories over non-conference opponents Hamline University and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and have won four straight overall.
-The Saints are currently in first place of the UMAC standings and have clinched a postseason berth. They can clinch the first seed and a share of the conference championship by winning two of the last four games.
-It will be Senior Day on Saturday as the Saints will recognize six seniors in Hannah Zeis (Ashland, Wis./Ashland HS), Kaitie Marsaa (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS), Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS), Kailee Katt (Esko, Minn./Esko HS (St. Catherine)), Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) and Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS).
-Rancour scored the game winner against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 10 minutes in. She leads the conference with four game-winning goals.
-Rancour is now two goals shy of 50 for her career.
-Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) leads the team with 11 goals.
-CSS has allowed only one goal in the last 10 games.
-Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) had six saves in the shutout over UW-River Falls.
-Rudolph has 10 shutouts this season, two shy of matching the single-season program record.
-Rudolph ranks 14th in NCAA Division III with a .900 save percentage.
 
What You Need to Know about Crown:
Record: 4-10-0, 2-8-0 UMAC
-The Storm enter Saturday's game in last place in the UMAC and eliminated from postseason contention.
-Crown is on a five-game losing streak and have surrendered 21 goals in the process.
-Anna Kragt leads the storm in points (22), goals (8) and tied for lead in assist (6).
-Crown has four players with five or more goals and 12 or more points.
-Michaela Cowman has played all minutes in net for Crown, she has a 3.31 GAA and a .779 save percentage.
-Cowman ranks ninth in NCAA Division III with 162 total saves.
 
Series Record: CSS 35-0 (Last Meeting: 9-1 CSS – 9/12/2018)
 
Series History: The Saints have won all 35 meetings between the teams and only surrendered only 10 goals all-time, including one in the first matchup this season.
 
What You Need to Know about Northland:
Record: 6-7-0, 5-3-0 UMAC
-The Jills enter the weekend fourth in the UMAC standings, but have only played eight conference games compared to most teams playing nine or 10.
-In their final four games play two teams directly in front of them and two teams behind them.
-Northland has a critical home game against Minnesota Morris on Saturday before playing the Saints on Monday.
-Kaiya Voldberg leads the Jills with goals (8) and points (20)
-Megan Jordan has started and played all games for the Jills in net, she has two shutouts on the season and owns a 2.08 GAA and a .773 save percentage.
 
Series Record: CSS 41-4-2 (Last Meeting: 5-0 CSS – 10/11/2017)
 
Series History: The last four meetings have gone 1-1-2 as CSS snapped a three-game winless streak against the LumberJills last season in Ashland … The Saints are 22-0-2 all-time at home against Northland.

Looking Ahead: The Saints will head out on the road to face North Central University (Minn.) on Wednesday in Minneapolis.
