csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica women's tennis team blanked North Central University (Minn.) 9-0 Saturday evening at the Arrowhead Tennis Center. The Saints have never dropped an individual match to the Rams in 17 meetings.
Doubles
The No. 1 team,
Elizabeth Fink (Rochester, Minn. /Rochester Century HS) and
Jessica Solberg (Bemidji, Minn. /Bemidji HS), crushed their opponents 8-1.
Emma Bartels (Roseville, Minn. /Mounds View HS (Minn.-Duluth)) and
Miki Samz (Savage, Minn. /Burnsville HS), the No. 2 team, also won 8-1. As did the No. 3 team of
Jolene Duda (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) and
Serena Hutson (Meridian, Idaho /Bishop Kelly HS) by that same score.
Singles
Elise Hauer (Duluth, Minn. /Duluth East HS), at No. 1, won against her opponent 6-4, 6-1. In the No. 2 spot,
Daniela Rojas (Monterrey, Mexico /Universidad Tecmilenio) was victorious with a score of 6-1, 6-2.
Syd Holt (Crosslake, Minn. /Pequot Lakes HS), No. 5, shot down her opponent 6-1, 6-1. To wrap it up,
Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn. /Armstrong HS) (No. 3),
Katelyn Rice (Eveleth, Minn. /Eveleth-Gilbert HS) (No. 4) and
Risako Oya (Chiba, Japan /ShowaGakuin Shuei HS) (No. 6) all swept their sets 6-0, 6-0.
