For the first time since joining the MIAC, the women's tennis team is headed to the conference tournament. St. Scholastica qualified as the #6 seed and await a quarterfinals matchup against #3 Bethel University on Wednesday at 3:30 PM. The higher seeds will host their opponents throughout the tournament, meaning the Saints will need to be road warriors in each round they advance.
The Saints wrapped up the regular season with an 11-7 record overall and an even 5-5 MIAC record. The previous matchup against Bethel this season happened back on March 22 in the Duluth Indoor Sports Complex. The Saints fell 7-2 that day, but had several matches that could have gone either way, with sets forced to extra points. With the element of the doubles being worth three total points, the Saints will need to capitalize in that category to survive and advance.
