More Racing for Skiers at U.S. Championships on Tuesday

MIDWAY, Utah (csssaints.com) – The three St. Scholastica nordic skiers competed in the mass start classic races at the U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center on Tuesday.

Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) began the day in the 20km classic race and placed 40th overall with a time of 1:12:46. Dickinson led all Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers in the event and was the 12th collegiate skier to finish. That matches her 40th place finish in the classic technique last year at the U.S. Championships.

Reitler Hodgert (Bend, Ore./Summit HS ) was up next in the 30km classic men's race. Hodgert came home 72nd in a time of 1:37:46. That was good enough for fifth among CCSA skiers.

Nicole Gilman (Manitowish Waters, Wis./Lakeland Union HS) wrapped up the day in the 7.5km classic junior race. Gilman placed 101st overall in a time of 31:24.
