DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- On Saturday, the St. Scholastica women's tennis team squashed Martin Luther College 9-0 for the second weekend in a row, giving the Saints a three sweep victory streak.
Doubles:
St. Scholastica's No. 1 team of Madeleine Scanlan (St. Albans, England /Loreto College) and Jessica Solberg (Bemidji, Minn. /Bemidji HS) won 8-1, their 13th doubles victory together this season. At No. 2, Elise Hauer (Duluth, Minn. /Duluth East HS) and Alexia Brascugli (Eveleth, Minn. /Eveleth-Gilbert HS) swept 8-0 for the victory. The No. 3 team, Risako Oya (Chiba, Japan /ShowaGakuin Shuei HS) and Taylor Hays (Altoona, Wis. /Altoona HS), first-time double partners, were able to successfully fend off their Knight opponents 8-6.
Singles:
Two of St. Scholastica's singles players, Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn. /Armstrong HS) (No. 3) and Kelly Neil (Mora, Minn. /Mora HS) (No. 5), did not drop a game, as they both won in straight sets with a score of 6-0, 6-0.
Scanlan (No. 1) defeated her Martin Luther opponent 6-2, 6-2. Daniela Rojas (Monterrey, Mexico /Universidad Tecmilenio) was victorious at the No. 2 spot with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Katelyn Rice (Eveleth, Minn. /Eveleth-Gilbert HS) outscored her No. 4 opponent 6-1, 6-2.
At No. 6, Moriah Branick (Eau Claire, Wis. /Eau Claire Regis HS) was the concluding victor, winning by 6-3, 6-3.

The Saints (11-5, 5-0 UMAC) travel Sunday to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for a non-conference match. Start time is scheduled for 10 a.m. They then will play UW-River Falls at 1 p.m. in Eau Claire.
