csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team had its first meet of the outdoor season on Saturday at the Ashton May Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Peterson Wins Hammer Throw
In the final event of the day,
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) took first place in the hammer throw with a mark of 186'8" (56.91m). There were a total of 52 competitors in the hammer throw event.
Top Performances
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was third in the javelin throw with a personal-best toss of 165'10" (50.54m).
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) was also third in the 5,000m run, finishing with a personal-best outdoor time of 15:30.45.
Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 6'2.75" (1.90m). That mark matches an outdoor PR. Wagner was ninth in that event, clearing 5'10.75" (1.80m).
Peterson placed fifth in the discus throw with a mark of 146'1" (44.53m).
Aaron Egelkraut (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) was 19
th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.81.
