DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team will be the No. 2 seed in this weekend's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Women's Tennis Tournament.

The Saints defeated Bethany Lutheran College in the home finale on Saturday 9-0, but fell to UMAC regular season champion University of Northwestern on Saturday 6-3 in St. Paul.
 
No UMAC Regular Season Title: For the first time since joining the UMAC in 1997, the Saints did not capture at least a share of the UMAC regular season title.
 
Gunderson Hits Century Mark: Senior Alexis Gunderson (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) became the fourth player in program history to record at least 100 total wins in a career over the weekend … With 103 total wins, the Virginia, Minnesota native is only three wins shy of the second-most in program history … She will finish with the fourth-most career doubles wins in program history as she currently sits at 54 … With one more singles win, she can become the seventh player in CSS history to record 50 in a career.
 
Singles Play: Freshman Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn. /Armstrong HS) led the team with 14 singles wins this season with seven coming at the No. 5 flight … Sophomore Madeleine Scanlan (St. Albans, England /Loreto College) had 12 wins with nine coming at the No. 2 flight … Miki Samz (Savage, Minn. /Burnsville HS) also had a nice season with 10 singles victories … CSS went 75-51 in singles play during the regular season.
 
Doubles Action: The No. 1 doubles team of Daniela Rojas (Monterrey, Mexico /Universidad Tecmilenio) and Scanlan won 13 matches this season … Gunderson and Samz have won six matches as a team … The Saints were 41-22 in doubles play during the regular season.
