DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica softball team looks to build on its splits in the last two conference doubleheaders as it travels to the West St. Paul Dome to face Crown College this Friday and the Vandnais Heights Sports Center to take on Minnesota Morris for a late Saturday night matchup.

About the Saints
Record: 11-10 (4-2 UMAC)

• The Saints have been on the road for all of their games so far this season, as weather has postponed or canceled every home game to date.
• The CSS offense has been led by freshman Rendi Johnson (Bonney Lake, Wash./Bonney Lake HS). She is first on the team with a .382 average and leads the Saints with 15 RBIs and a .452 OBP. She has also started four games for the Saints, posting a 3-1 record.
• Freshman Micah McGuiness (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) has been a utility player for the Saints this season. She is second on the team with a .357 batting average and has appeared in seven games on the mound as well.
• The Saints have six players batting at least .300, and have stolen 52 bases as a team so far this season, over double that of opponents (25). Andrea Mogren (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) leads the UMAC with 13 stolen bases.
• The Saints pitching staff has been anchored by the Roach sisters. An All-UMAC First Team selection last season, Darcy Roach (East Grand Forks, Minn./Sacred Heart HS) has a 2.94 ERA while throwing a team high 64.1 innings and seven complete games. Younger sister Tracy Roach (East Grand Forks, Minn./Sacred Heart HS) is second with a 3.39 ERA and has a 2-0 record in five appearances.

About the Storm
Record: 0-11 (0-7 UMAC)

• Crown has not won a game so far this season. Their most recent loss came to North Central, where they were defeated by a score of 9-7.
• Crown was outscored by a combined total of 31-9 in their contests against Martin Luther and North Central and have been outscored 129-16 so far this season.
• Crown has been led by Jenna Privette and Emily Dallman, who lead the team with batting averages of .333 and .320, respectively. The next highest batting average on the team is .231.
• The Crown pitching staff has struggled this season, posting a 14.03 ERA and allowing opponents to bat .416 thus far. Opponents' ERA against Crown is a 1.60.

About the Cougars

• The Cougars look to continue their hot streak, as they have won six in a row and nine of its past 10 contests. Morris most recently swept Northwestern, defeating the Eagles by scores of 3-1 and 6-3.
• Morris has been led by Cassie Sowada, who is batting a blistering .464 in 28 plate appearances. Brooke Decker and Sam Hanson have healthy .360 and .357 averages as well, and Decker leads the team with 12 RBIs and is tied for second in the UMAC with 13 steals.
• Mackenzie Weatherly has anchored the pitching staff for the Cougars this season. Weatherly has a 4.46 ERA and 55 Ks, good for fourth in the UMAC. Her six wins so far this season are good for second in the UMAC as well.
• The Cougars are currently tied for first in the UMAC with Bethany Lutheran.
