Women’s Hockey Blanked by St. Olaf

Box Score NORTHFIELD, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team outshot St. Olaf 34-19, but was unable to find the back of the net and fell 4-0 Friday night at St. Olaf.

The opening period saw the Saints outshoot the Oles 10-6, but St. Olaf would hold a 1-0 advantage on the scoreboard. 

The second frame was the same as the first period as the Oles would tally another goal short-handed to make the score 2-0, advantage St. Olaf.

The final period once again was all Oles on the scoreboard, netting a goal at the 6:21 mark and then an empty-net goal at 18:53. The Saints would fall 4-0.

St. Olaf (6-4-2) was able to get 19 shots on goal.  The Oles were 0-for-2 on the power-play and were penalized three times for six minutes.  Ali McKeever and Sam Ubl stopped 34 shots on the night combined.

St. Scholastica was held scoreless even though the Saints were able to get 34 shots on net.  CSS was 0-for-3 on the power-play and was penalized two times for four minutes.

Teraysa White (Belgrade, Maine/Brewster Academy (New England College)) stopped 15 shots on the night for the Saints.

The Saints (5-4-2) will travel to St. Paul, Minn. tomorrow to face St. Catherine University at Drake Arena.  Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time.  Tune into csssaints.com for updates from that game.
