DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica softball team will be back at Kenwood Field on Tuesday for its first of three home doubleheaders this week when it faces off with Crown College.

The Saints are coming off an 11-10 non-conference loss to regional power University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Ashland on Saturday. CSS led by three runs in the top of the seventh and hit three home runs, but were unable to contain the Blugolds. The loss was the first this season when leading after six innings (8-1).

Crown Storm (0-5, 0-3)
The Storm have started the season losing their first five games and have played 13 fewer games than the Saints as they didn't open their season until April 2nd … Crown has lost its first five games by a combined score of 67-5 and have not gone more than five innings in a game this season … Crown has been picked to finish last in the UMAC preseason coaches' poll … The Storm enter the 2012 season with nine new players on a roster … Kendra Magaard leads the team with a .444 batting average.
