DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica softball team will play seven games this week, beginning with a split doubleheader against Northwestern College and Crown College on Tuesday at Kenwood Field. The Saints will also complete a suspended game against Northland College on Wednesday at noon at home.

Northwestern Eagles (14-18, 9-6 UMAC)
The Eagles, who were picked to finish second in the conference, according to the preseason coaches' poll, split both of their doubleheaders this past weekend against Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran … After defeating the Saints in the first game of a doubleheader in St. Paul, then Eagles dropped the second game and then were swept by Northland College and lost the first game against Minnesota Morris … The Eagles are led at the plate by Briana Rodgers, who is batting .412 with 18 RBIs … Lauren Walker leads the team with 29 RBIs … The Eagles are hitting only .265 as a team … Molly Johnsen, who shutdown the Saints earlier this season, leads the team with a 2.84 earned run average and 99 strikeouts.
