SUPERIOR, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team found the net four times, but it wasn't enough as the University of Wisconsin-Superior scored six times, including the game-winner in the third period to win by a score of 6-4 Saturday night at Wessman Arena.
The Yellowjackets (1-1-0, 1-1-0 NCHA) actually put the puck in the net eight times, but two goals were disallowed. The Saints tied the contest up three minutes later as
Brandon Nowakowski (Calgary, Alberta/Central Memorial HS (Calgary Royals-AJHL)) scored his first goal of the season.

Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) goal, his second in as many nights, less than two minute into the second period.
Alex Valenti (Blaine, Wash./Bellingham HS (Merritt-BCHL) ) and
Ryne Bodger (Duncan, British Columbia/Cowichan Secondary (Merritt-BCHL) ) assisted. Superior's Brett Meyers tied the contest up at 3-3 with an unassisted goal five minute into the period.
Chad Golanowski (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop Carroll HS (Calgary Canucks-AJHL) ) threw one on goal and found the back of the net with 12 minutes left in the period to make it 4-3 Saints.
Brandon Nowakowski (Calgary, Alberta/Central Memorial HS (Calgary Royals-AJHL)) and
Brenden Bradbury (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Monticello HS/Vincent Massey Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) had the assists. It stayed that way until the 3:32 mark of the second period when Nick Drill tied the game once against for the 'jackets. The score would be tied 4-4 at the second intermission.
The Yellowjackets eventually scored the game winner six minutes into the third period when Andy Singerhouse scored an unassisted goal. Kyle Leahy added an empty net goal late to make the final score 6-4.
