DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team must salvage at worst a split this weekend at fellow first-year program St. Norbert College to stay alive for the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) O'Brien Cup playoffs.

The Green Knights, who are also in their first year as a program, are two spots above the Saints in the current NCHA standings and can clinch a playoff berth with three points this weekend… St. Norbert enters the weekend 2-1-2 in its last five games … Forward Lauren Straus leads the Green Knights in points with 18, netting six goals and 12 assists … Forward Karissa Anderson has a team-high 11 goals along with five assists for 16 points … St. Norbert leads the conference with a .204 power-play percentage … The Green Knights also have the best penalty kill in the NCHA (.955) … Goaltender Kaley Gibson has over 600 minutes between the pipes for the Green Knights as the primary goaltender and has a goals against average of 1.90.
