Last Action:
The Saints were last in action Tuesday when they took care of the number four seeded Crown College Storm 3-0.  Rob Johnson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) had two goals in the shutout of Crown.

#1 St. Scholastica Saints (16-3-1)
The Saints extended their winning streak to seven with a win in the semi-finals over Crown.  During the winning streak they have outscored their opponents by an impressive margin of 28-2.  Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) continues to lead the team and the UMAC in points with 39 points.  Joe Watt (London, England/North West Kent College) and Brandon Stemwedel (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) still sit in second and third on the team with 31 and 25 points respectively.  Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) continues his impressive season now reaching the double digit mark in shutouts with 10 on his way to a 15-3-1 record.  The Saints haven't lost to a conference opponent in 39 straight games dating back to October 3, 2009 when they fell 1-0 to Minnesota-Morris.

#2 Minnesota-Morris Cougars (11-4-3)
Minnesota-Morris returns to the UMAC Championship for the fifth straight year, all against St. Scholastica.  The Cougars had just enough to edge Northwestern in the semi final match as they took down the Eagles 2-1 in penalty kicks (PK) after a scoreless tie through regulation and two overtimes.  Ebrima Badgie scored the game-winning goal in the PK session and also leads the team with 13 points this season.  Matt Johnson is right behind him with ten and Michael Ward and Greg Borchers each have nine.  Tyler Weber has had an impressive season in net with 11 shutouts as he has been the goalkeeper on record for every game this year.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record v. Minnesota-Morris: 11-3-2)
The Saints squeaked by the Cougars at Saints Field in October 1-0 on a Farrar goal.  The Saints swept the Cougars in the regular season this year taking both games 1-0.

Women's Soccer

Last Action: The Saints needed to come back to finish off Bethany Lutheran 2-1 in the semifinal match up.  Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) scored the game tying goal in the 74th minute and Casey Mitchell (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) gave CSS the lead and eventual game winner four minutes later.

#1 St. Scholastica Saints (15-4-1)
The Saints ride a 15-game unbeaten streak into the UMAC Championship game and have yet to lose to a conference team this season.  The Saints were down from the sixth minute to the 74th minute to Bethany but managed to come back and win it to keep the season alive.  Kehtel's goal gives her a team-leading point total of 38 points.  Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) has 21, Taylor Cunningham (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) and Shannon Carlson (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) both have 16 and Mitchell has 14 to round out the top five.  The Saints two senior goalkeepers have put up a combined 13 shutouts as Molly Bergmann (Walker, Minn./Walker-Hackensack-Akeley HS) has seven and Bailey Mahlum (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck HS) has five, as the two split time in one of the shutouts.  The Saints look to move past the championship game after a heartbreaking loss to Northwestern in the championship game last year.

#3 Minnesota-Morris Cougars (11-6-1)
Minnesota-Morris has a head full of steam after defeating the number two seed Northwestern on the road on Tuesday 2-0.  It was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Eagles all season after losing the previous meetings 3-2 and 1-0.  Leah Parker and Zoe Bergstrom lead the team with 15 points a piece and right behind them is Christina Mollan with 14.  RiAnne Metz has been the goalkeeper on record for the Cougars in every game on her way to nine shutouts.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record v. Minnesota-Morris: 16-4-2)
Both Mahlum and Metz served up shutouts in a scoreless tie between the Saints and Cougars in mid-October.  The Saints outshot the Cougars in that matchup 22-2.
