The Saints had an offensive explosion in their last game at Martin Luther winning 9-0.
Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) scored four times and
Rob Johnson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) three as they both got hat tricks.
St. Scholastica Saints (13-3-1, 9-0-1 UMAC)
The Saints continue to do well in the UMAC with an unbeaten 9-0-1 record. The Saints can clinch this weekend by winning at least one of their games, but the ultimate goal is still to go undefeated in the conference. Farrar continues to have an outstanding freshman year as he leads the team and the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) in points with 37.
Joe Watt (London, England/North West Kent College) (27 pts),
Brandon Stemwedel (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) (22 pts) and
Andrew Jenkins (Cardiff, Wales/Whitchurch HS) (17 pts) are 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the team and 3rd, 4th and 5th in the conference respectively for total points.
Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) continues his stellar season, now with a 12-3-1 record and seven shutouts for CSS this season.
Crown Storm (7-8-0, 5-5-0 UMAC)
The Storm sit in fourth place in the conference and will stay there as they can't catch anyone, but also can't be caught which guarantees them a playoff birth and a trip to play the top seed next week. Leading the way for the Storm this year is Jon Schultz who leads the team and is 2nd in the conference with 30 total points on 14 goals. Jason Budish is 2nd on the team with less than half of Schultz's production with 14 points. Chris Scanlon and Josh LeGassey have both seen time in goal this season, with Scanlon going 3-7-0 with a shutout while LeGassey is 3-1-0.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Crown: 23-1-1)
The Saints beat the Storm in St. Bonifacius earlier this year 3-0 with goals from Watt, Stemwedel and
Ace Amin (Vasteras, Sweden/Rudbeckianska Gym).
Northwestern Eagles (8-7-2, 7-2-1 UMAC)
Northwestern is currently in 3rd place in the UMAC and are still eligible for the tournament top seed going into this weekend. In order for the Eagles to earn the top seed the Eagles need to win both games this weekend vs. Northland and CSS, and they need CSS to lose both games and Minnesota-Morris to lose or tie both of its games. The Eagles are led this year by Sam Mann, who's scored 16 points. Right behind him are Stephen Ricks and Edgar Renteria with 12 and 10 points respectively. Eric Bocan has been the goalkeeper on record for all games, also having five shutouts. Northwestern will take on Northland College in Ashland, Wis. before traveling to Duluth.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Northwestern: 39-11-6)
The Saints and Eagles last met in St. Paul back in September where neither team could get anything going and the game ended in a 0-0 2OT tie.

Last Action:
The Saints shutout streak ended at 1041:14 when UW-River Falls scored on them in the Battle for the Chalice, but CSS scored two unanswered at the feet of
Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Shannon Carlson (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) to win the game 2-1.
St. Scholastica Saints (12-4-1, 9-0-1 UMAC)
The Saints can clinch home field advantage for the playoffs with a win and a Northwestern loss this weekend, or a win and not losing to Northwestern by more than four goals, so the outlook is good for CSS at this point. Kehtel continues her outstanding season now with 15 goals and 33 total points.
Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) still sits in second with 17 points and Carlson has 14. Goalkeepers
Bailey Mahlum (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck HS) and
Molly Bergmann (Walker, Minn./Walker-Hackensack-Akeley HS) continue their success in goal. Mahlum is 5-3-1 with five shutouts while Bergmann is 7-1-0 with seven shutouts.
Crown Storm (0-14-1, 0-9-1 UMAC)
The Storm's only non-loss this season came against Bethany Lutheran on October 13 in a disappointing 2011 season. So far this season, the Storm have been outscored 43-3 and have only scored in two games. Each of those goals was scored by a different person unassisted, so Mary Voss, Heather Ell and Miranda Baltzer each have two points. Hillary Brondesema has had her work cut out for her this year making 186 saves on her way to a winless record.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Crown: 24-0)
The Saints and Storm needed overtime to find the victor in their September meeting.
Kaylee Gombold (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) scored the game winner for CSS in the first overtime to take down the Storm 1-0.
*Stat to note: In the 24 matchups, the Saints have outscored the Storm 100-7.
Northwestern Eagles. (11-4-1, 8-1-1 UMAC)
The Eagles come into this weekend needing two wins and a St. Scholastica loss to even be in contention for the top seed. The Eagles would need to beat St. Scholastica by five goals or more on top of beating Northland in order to earn the top seed. Leading the Eagles this year is Rebekah Kirby with 26 points. Right behind her is Lauren Cleope with 22 points, with no one else close to either of those two. Tara Hanson has made 41 saves and has five shutouts on her way to a 9-4-1 record.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Northwestern: 28-9-1)
The Saints crushed the Eagles in St. Paul back in November 5-0 on the shoulders of Beatt, who had two goals in the game.
