ABERDEEN, S.D. – The St. Scholastica softball team won its 10th and 11th consecutive games today with a 21-0 victory over Martin Luther and a 14-4 victory over Bethany Lutheran both in five innings.
The Saints have won their last 10 games in just five innings and improve to 25-11 overall and 19-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.
In the first game of the day, the Saints scored “three touchdowns” on their way to a 21-0 victory over the Knights. CSS scored in every inning, including 13 of their 21 runs in the third inning and had 23 hits. #Robin Lake# (
Sr.-Tamarack, Minn./McGregor) was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and she just needed a double for the cycle. #Brynn Wollak# (
Fr.-Hugo, Minn./Stillwater) also went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. #Jenn Falk# (
So.-Altona, Man.) pitched all five innings and struck out six, while allowing four hits to improve to 11-3 on the year.
The Saints also scored in every inning of the second game against the Vikings and went on to win 14-4. St. Scholastica scored four runs in the second and third innings after the score was tied 1-1 after the first. #Chelsey Weiss# (

So.-Esko, Minn.) improved to 12-6 as she pitched all five innings.

The Saints are scheduled to play their final conference games of the season tomorrow in Aberdeen when they play Presentation College at 10 a.m. and the University of Minnesota-Morris at 2 p.m. The Saints have also found a date to make-up the postponed doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus at the beginning of the month. Those teams will play a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. on Monday at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
