DULUTH, Minn. – On Senior Night, the 13th-ranked St. Scholastica hockey team followed last night's loss with a 4-3 victory tonight over Concordia-Moorhead at Mars Lakeview Arena.
The Saints are now 3-1-0 overall, while the Cobbers fall to 0-4-0. CSS is 16-13-1 all-time against Concordia-Moorhead.

The Cobbers got on the board a minute into the second period with a power-play goal by Pat Deitz to make it 2-1. Concordia then tied it about halfway through the period with an even-handed goal by Jared Collen.
The Saints regained the lead with under eight minutes to go in the second period, when #Riley Riddell# (
Jr.-Wawota, Sask.) scored his third of the season, unassisted to make it 3-2 CSS.
St. Scholastica added insurance with 14 minutes left in the game as #Paul Marcoux# (

Concordia made things interesting late as Collen scored his second of the night with less than seven minutes left, but the Saints held on to win by a tally of 4-3.

Sr.-Ottawa, Ont.), who started his first game of the season for the Saints, stopped 14 shots to earn the win. Jacob Vatnsdal had 29 saves in the loss for the Cobbers. There were a total of 14 penalties in the contest.
The Saints will be at home again next weekend for a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) series against second-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils.
