DULUTH, Minn. – Six College of St. Scholastica student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, recognizing outstanding achievement both in competition and in the classroom. The Saints' honorees were Connor O'Hara (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) from men's golf, Riley Girod (Calvet, SK, Canada/), Gavin Gunderson (Roseau, MN/Roseau HS) and Eino Rissanen (Sonvillier, Switzerland/Lycée Blaise-Cendrars) from men's hockey, along with nordic skiers Jakob Craig (Tomahawk, WI/Lakeland Union High School) and Jonathan Saldin.
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes student-athletes who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least sophomores, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and meet sport-specific competition requirements.
The at-large category includes student-athletes from sports that do not have their own dedicated Academic All-District® teams. At St. Scholastica, those sports include golf, hockey, and nordic skiing. Institutions are limited to six nominees per gender, making selection to the Academic All-District® Team one of the most prestigious academic honors awarded by CSC.
Academic All-District® honorees were selected by CSC and were evaluated on both their academic accomplishments and athletic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year. CSC voting will now begin for the Academic All-America team, which will be announced on Wednesday, July 8.
