MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The College of St. Scholastica men's nordic ski team placed
fourth at the CCSA Conference Championships over the weekend, finishing with
53 team points.
Northern Michigan claimed the team title with 106 points, followed by Michigan Tech with 100. UW-Green Bay placed third with 60 points.
10K Classic Mass Start
In Saturday's classic race, Alexander Bertonneau (Frisco, CO/Summit HS) led the Saints with a sixth-place finish among CCSA skiers, crossing in 25:53.1. He trailed only three Michigan Tech skiers and two from Northern Michigan in the conference field.
Max Rogers (Moorhead, MN/Moorhead HS) placed ninth among CCSA competitors, finishing in 26:47.2.

Bertonneau's top-six conference finish paced the Saints in the opening race.
10K Freestyle Individual Start
On Sunday in the freestyle race, Bertonneau again led St. Scholastica, placing seventh among CCSA skiers with a time of 22:48.2.
Rogers followed with a 10th-place CCSA finish, while Kaden Hacker (Sussex, WI/Home School) was 11th and Jakob Craig (Tomahawk, WI/Lakeland Union High School) 12th among conference racers.

Regional Points Outlook
Following the weekend, Bertonneau sits as St. Scholastica's highest-ranked skier in the CCSA Regional Qualifying Points standings, currently tied for 11th overall with 81 total points. While no Saints are presently in a qualifying position for NCAA Regionals, Bertonneau leads the program in the conference points race heading into the final stretch of the season.
