Men's Nordic Finishes Fourth at Ariens Invite

BRILLION, Wis. -- The College of St. Scholastica men's nordic ski team finished fourth overall at the Ariens Nordic Invite, posting a team score of 42 in a competitive field that included several nationally recognized programs. The Saints placed ahead of St. Olaf (12) while finishing just behind UW–Green Bay (42), Michigan Tech (57), and Northern Michigan (69).

Alexander Bertonneau (Frisco, CO/Summit HS) led the Saints with a strong fifth-place finish in the 15-kilometer skate race, crossing the line in 29:19.7. Bertonneau remained consistent throughout the four-lap course and finished less than a minute off the winning pace, earning valuable team points in a tightly contested race.

St. Scholastica continued to build depth behind Bertonneau, as Jakob Craig (Tomahawk, WI/Lakeland Union High School) placed 17th with a time of 30:46.7, followed closely by Max Rogers (Moorhead, MN/Moorhead HS) in 18th (30:47.6) and Kaden Hacker (Sussex, WI/Home School) in 19th (30:49.1). Jack Malec (Minnetonka, MN/Minnetonka HS) added another scoring effort for the Saints, finishing 22nd in 31:05.4.

Jonathan Saldin rounded out the Saints' finishers with a 47th-place result, helping the team maintain its position in the middle of a deep and competitive field. Overall, the Saints' balanced pack proved key in securing a fourth-place team result against strong regional competition
