The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced the 2025 MIAC Softball Awards on Monday, including the All-Conference and honorable mention Teams, All-Playoff Team, and Player, Pitcher, Rookie, and Coach of the Year honors. The Saints were represented well with both corner infielders being named as MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Starting with the hot corner, third baseman and senior Emma Boland picked up her first career MIAC All-Conference award in a year that saw her bat a .350 average with thirty-six total hits. Bolin reached the 100 career hit mark early in the season and continued to be a disciplined hitter throughout. Her seven walks helped add up to an on base percentage of .407, putting her in the top twenty-five in the MIAC in both batting average and obp. Additionally, she contributed six RBIs and was a very reliable defender, only committing two errors on the season at a difficult position to field.
Nelson, the standout two-sport freshman, displayed consistent hitting throughout her rookie season, rounding out the year with a .289 batting average and twenty-two hits. She was one of the Saints hardest hitters, collecting six doubles and leading the team with ten RBIs on the season. Nelson also contributed in areas such as runs scored, where she was tied for fourth on the Saints with eight, and was a perfect two-for-two in stolen bases. On the defensive side of the diamond, she was a great fielder, only committing one error and having a nearly perfect fielding percentage of .994.
While Bolin has wrapped up her collegite career, Neslon looks primed to take a sophomore leap and help propel the Saints into conference contention for the 2026 season.
