A contingent of the track and field team headed to Hamline University to keep the outdoor season moving on Saturday.

The throwing duo of Ella Stritesky (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) and Ella Engen (Clearbrook, Minn./Clearbrook-Gonvick HS) placed well in the hammer throw to start the action. Stritesky was runner-up in the event with a best toss of 47.07m on the day. Engen was not far off with a season best throw of 45.62m to place fourth.

Engen came back in the shot put to place third with her throw of 11.53m.

After an excellent indoor campaign, school record holder Regan DeWitt (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) opened up her outdoor season with a big personal best finish in the 1500m run. Her time of 4:58.88 was good for fourth place in the meet. This time puts DeWitt as the ninth best performer for the event in school history.

Grace McCormick (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld HS) placed tenth overall in the 5000m run with a finishing time of 18:58.01. This mark is now ninth on the Saints all-time list.

The team looks towards a split meet between Bethel University and Mankato State next weekend.
