Two Saints players found themselves on the 2024-25 edition of the MIAC Women's Basketball All-Confenece honors.
Ava Haus (St. Michael/St. Michael-Albertville High School), the outstanding freshman made her way onto the all-conference ballot and was in serious contention for winning MIAC Rookie of the Year as well. Haus played and started in twenty-four out of twenty-five total contests for the Saints, while leading St. Scholastica in scoring with 13.8 ppg. Haus was also the Saints most consistent deep-range shooter, knocking down a team leading 51 three-pointers at a 38.2% clip. She was also a great free-throw shooter, hitting over 80% from the charity stripe and finished third for the Saints in assists. Haus was also a crafty defender, picking up thirty-nine steals to lead the team.
Not to be outdone,
Kloey Lind (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) picked up all-conference honorable mention honors to follow up her all-conference season from a year ago. The sophomore was second for the Saints in scoring, behind Haus, with 10.9 ppg and a 50% field goal percentage. While not being a threat from deep, she was a monster on the boards, leading St. Scholastica with over six total rebounds per game. Her inside presence was felt on the defensive side as well, as she sent back twenty-one blocked shots throughout the season.
This on court production led to significant progress in the win column as well. The Saints finished at least .500 in MIAC conference games for the first time since joining the league with an even 9-9 record. With this tag-team back for another year, Saints women's basketball looks primed to make a run to the conference tournament.
