Saints Set to Host Two More Home Games

Duluth, Minn. - The St. Scholastica Men's soccer team will be in action on Wednesday and Friday of this week, taking on the Yellowjackets from Wisconsin-Superior on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and the Knights from Wartburg College (IA) on Friday at 2 p.m. Both games will be held at Kenny Harkins Field.

A Look at the Yellowjackets 

Wisconsin-Superior enters Wednesday's contest looking to get its first win of the season, as they currently hold a record of 0-1-2. Both draws of the season came against MIAC opponents Augsburg and Carleton. The Yellowjackets have won the last eight games against the Saints, dating back to 2018. The all-time record between these two programs sits at 13-13-6, but the Yellowjackets are 5-8-5 in those contests all-time when on the road. 

A Look at the Knights

Wartburg will enter Friday's matchup with an overall record of 1-2-1. After recording a season-opening victory against MIAC opponent Saint John's, the Knights are looking to get things back on track, having gone 0-2-1 in its last three outings. The Knights, who compete in the American Rivers Conference (ARC) finished the 2023 season sixth out of nine teams and are currently in seventh place to begin 2024. 

Saints to Watch

  • Aiden Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and Elijah Seehof-Flory (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) both scored in Monday's contest against Northwestern (MN) as they look to continue their points streak.

  • Ayub Mohamed (Lewiston ME/Park High School) played a big role in Monday's game against Northwestern (MN), as the freshman tallied his first assist in a CSS uniform on Monday.

  • Ben Hallberg (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) looks to earn his first win of the season in the net for the Saints.
