In the 24th minute, Parker Chastey (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld HS) put one in the back of the net for the first of the season on a free kick, taking a 1-0 lead over the Eagles.

Edgewood would score their first goal of the game in the 34th minute of the first half, as the game now sat tied at 1-1.
