MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Trent Beseth (Stanchfield, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) competed today in the discus throw at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carlonia. Beseth came into today's competition with the 5th best mark.

Beseth's was placed in the second flight with his first attempt registering as a foul.

His second throw went for 42.84m (140' 7') which had him on the board in 20th place.

His third and final attempt was another foul, thus ending his discuss season and opportunity to advance to the next round. Beseth would finish 21st in a field of 22 challengers.

This season, marks the second time Beseth has qualified for a NCAA National Championship (1-Indoor, 1-Outdoor).

He will have another opportunity as he competes tomorrow in the shot put event tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. (CT).
