DULUTH, Minn. - The College of St. Scholastica men's team played a non-conference match with the Crown College Polars on Saturday afternoon at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center.
Doubles
Jonas Abeleda (Sydney, Australia/St Aloysius' College) and
Eamon Gerrard-Stace (Brisbane, Au./) defeated their opponents 8-3 in No. 1 doubles
The Patten and Anderson siblings paired together.
Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) played in No. 2 doubles, where they captured an 8-0 win.
Carter Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) and
Drew Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) got the 8-1 victory.
Singles
Abeleda picked up the 6-2, 6-3 win and Harper Direcks went to three sets with his foe but grabbed the last set 10-6.
Jack Onkka (Thief River Falls, Minn./) won 6-1, 6-0 and
Andy Shaffer (Buffalo, Minn./) also saw the same result in his match.
In the fifth spot,
Alex Daigneault (Agua Dulce, Calif./Hart HS) got the 6-2, 6-0 victory and
Nicolas Greis Coria (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Trinnean's School) got the 6-2, 6-2 dub in the last spot.
