Men's Skiing Finish Races in Cable, WI

 Saint Scholastica Men's Nordic Ski team wrapped up their weekend in Cable, Wisconsin, competing in the CXC Cup. The two-day event, held from Saturday, December 14 to Sunday, December 15, saw the Saints deliver strong performances, earning spots in the quarterfinal rounds and showcasing their potential.
 

Day 1 - Classic Sprint 

Top Performers:

Opening up the weekend in Cable, Wisconsin, was the Classic Sprint. Starting off with the junior heat, there were two Saints who advanced to the quarter-finals. Finishing fifth in his group was Kai Donnelly (), with a time of 3:18.32, and Carson Peterson () also finished fifth in his group with   3:25.28.

Just one Saint made it to the quarter-finals stage from the senior heat, freshman Leevi Tarjanne () wrapping up his group with a hard-fought time of 4:18.07.

Day 2 - Individual Start Freestyle

Top Performers:

Day two brought more excitement to the races, with Sumner Cotton (Steamboat Springs, Colo./Steamboat Springs HS) being the first of the Saints to finish with a time of 24:06.6, setting the tone for the race. Coming in with a time of 24:19.3 was Cameron Cruickshank (), and right behind with a strong time of 24:32.6 was Joseph Walling (Palmer, Alaska/Mat-Su Career & Technical HS).

Up Next

Building on their performances, the Saints will continue the CXC Cup this coming weekend on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22. The races will be held in Coleraine, Minnesota.
